About
EVEN MORE UPDATE TO PROFILE AT THE BOTTOM!!!!
The attached Video is from a Handyman Tryout. I will do my best to upload a Rugged Host video soon.
IIN THE MEANTIME, HERE I AM:
My Name is Kurt Foote.
I am a self employed builder and have run a successful construction related business for 21 years.
I have theater and radio experience. I have acted and directed community theater and Caribbean theater, as well as doing voiceovers for radio advertising and non profit organizations.
For the last 7 1/2 years, I have been creating masterpieces from next to nothing while living on the Volcano Stricken island of Montserrat in the West Indies. My long term clientele range from major automotive executives and classic rock legends to Special Needs students and the physically as well as financially challenged elderly.
I am capable of designing and building adaptive equipment and accessibility solutions for my customers as well as the standard and custom construction of residential home remodeling. I have creative and intuitive skills that have proven to be effective and useful in making my customers dreams a reality with the limited resources available to me.
I have a B.S. in General Science. I am happily married (20 yrs) to an Occupational Therapist and former United Nations Volunteer, together we have 4 wonderful boys who keep us on our toes.
I think that my knowledge of construction, my creative and cultural experiences, my healthy sense of humor, and my good communication skills would be an asset to the new series, Rugged Host.
In addition to construction as a background, I have run a charter deep sea fishing boat, I am a certified Diver, I weld, I can fix and repair nearly anything that becomes broken, mechanically or otherwise. (I once helped my wife by repair an elderly persons prostetic limb.)
I have travelled to every continent with the exception of Antarctica, which I hope to do some day, while I still am able. I am quite good with lingustics and foreign languages. I am very into antique machinery and my personal favorite ride is a 1947 Flathead Harley Davidson.
I can be as equally at home with socialites as I am in a Biker Bar. (I still have all my teeth to prove it.)
If thats not enough to make me your Rugged Host choice, then I'll dig a little deeper to see if I've left anything out.
Thank you for your consideration.
Sincerely,
Kurt D. Foote
UPDATE:
Hello all, I've been trying to get my video uploaded, however, I'm having some technical trouble. Maybe it will work for me today. The added photos are of some projects that were recently done on Montserrat. The roof is one that was "past it's prime" due to acid content in ash and rain that have fallen from the Soufriere Hills Volcano. The new roof is an architectural style designed to withstand high winds in case of Hurricane. The bridge is a design build of my own madness connecting 2 lots that prior, had no access to one another.
The photo of the family is self explanatory. My lovely wife and four handsome boys.
The picture of me with the Ominous fellow in red, is a scene from the production "St. Marks Place". A play funded by UNICEF to entertain, as well as educate the youth, on the HIV/AIDS crisis in the Caribbean and beyond. I am a victim of suicide, after discovering that I contracted aids while saving someone's life. The devil is giving me hell. (so to speak.)
I am hoping to have the video up and running soon.... stay tuned.
Thank you for your continued support.
Best Regards,
Kurt
Here I am again: Added a couple more pics. Finally figured out how to delete the useless ones. If anything, I'm learning a lot about computers. The B&W is of the family. The Scooter is just one of a small collection. I have another passion, other than my family and my work, Old Machinery. Especially the 2 wheeled kind. It's too bad I started this so late, I'm only now figuring out how best to use this site.
Anyway, thank you all for checking in and voting.
All the best,
Kurt
