Tamir is a native New Yorker from the Bronx , he received his BFA from New York University Tisch School of the Arts. Tamir started his professional acting career while in school with the prestigious Negro Ensemble Company where he performed several productions (Off Broadway). He traveled to London to do Sartre's No Exit where is received rave reviews. He's now living in Los Angeles. Tamir can be seen on this season of Dexter as Gordon. Tamir's past guest spots include, NYPD Blue, The Pretender, Ghost Stories, That's Life, New York Undercover and All My Children.
