I'm currently in the process of applying to FIDM, The Academy of Art University in San Francisco, School of the Art Institute of Chicago, and the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City for a post-baccalaureate professional certificate or a Masters of Fine Arts for Fashion Design, Merchandising, Marketing, or Visual Communications. I attended the University of Arizona and received my BA in Psychology in May of 2007. My background in Psychology has fueled my natural ability to be personable - something I think is an important quality to have when marketing a fashion magazine to it's target audience.
What I love about fashion is the way it makes you feel! One of my favorite things to do is look through fashion mags and think of ways to create designer looks for less.
I've been working in social services for almost 2 years and have realized that it is a vocation I'm not entirely passionate about. Fashion is something I know I can dedicate all of myself to...I'm ready to move on to the next step in my life and this internship is the perfect opportunity!

I enjoy being bluntly honest. To dampen my expressiveness and passion would be a crime. I love deeply, live in the moment, and try my best to live free of regret. I can be cautious, yet I'll take risks without much hesitation. I think way too much, my mind always racing. Thanks to Ingrid Michaelson my love life is illustrated in song.
My cat, Jasper, is just like me - fiesty, curious, adventurous, and isn't willing to give up without a damn fight. I like making birthdays a huge deal because it's the one day out of the year you get to celebrate 'you'. I love to cook, but usually won't unless I have someone to cook for...a meal always tastes better when you're in good company. Movie magic moments are amazing, but the people who ignite them are far and few between. I crave connection with others, and read people easily. I've been burned a few times, but will never give up on finding someone's inner good. No one deserves to be given up on.
Though people banter about my small stature, I know better than to sell myself short. "I'm bigger than my body gives me credit for" -thanks John Mayer.
I have too many aspirations for my own good. I love all things fashion...music...acting...writing - I want to do it all! And I will :).
It's time to be tenacious baby. It's time.
