About
Hey, thanks for checking out this profile.
The names Dustin, and I am a 22 year old Otaku. That means I love anime, manga, and video games, obsessively, exceedingly, and inexplicably.
There are other things I love, such as music and movies, and other forms of entertainment, but my primary hobbies are the modern visual culture arts.
I have a wide variety if knowledge on my subjects of interests that borderlines encyclopedic. When I enjoy something I feel the urge to learn everything there is to know about it.
I enjoy tons of anime and manga (I have seen well over 300+ series!), and play tons of games (I own a few hundred of these, too!). I'm also an insane collector. Including the aformentioned games, I own almost 1,000 DVD's, with around half of them being anime alone. I own tons of manga books and various collectibles (Who else do you know that owns a actual Dragon Ball?).
The most insane purchase I ever made was spending over $1,000.00 to import a box set of my favorite anime because it wasn't ever gonna be released in America. That's devotion, folks! :D
I've recently been playing Lost Odyssey on my Xbox 360, since I am a RPG whore (And anything with music by Nobuo Uematsu is wonderful!), however I tend to do things in phases. Sometimes I play tons of games, sometimes I play none to watch anime or read manga.
I love technology, and get as much as I can get my hands on. My current PC isn't a powerhouse, though. I helped build my old PC, but it crashed due to a virus. I still have it and will probably format and reinstall the OS shortly. I try and get my hands on as much technology as I can. Mostly video game systems and such. Although of the current next gen systems I only have the Xbox 360 (The PS3 price point isn't at the sweet spot, yet. Plus, good luck FINDING a Wii), and for handhelds I have both a PSP and a DS. I have a bunch of old systems, too. Hell, I still have SNES hooked up to my TV (Good fun for whenever I feel like popping Super Mario World in), and despite what happend, I love my Dreamcast. Best console for fighting games (and I do have quite a few of them for it).
Also, to be honest, I forsaw the death of HD-DVD about a year ago. Sony's decision to include it in the PS3 made the PS3 one of the best and cheapest Blu-ray players. A wise decision (admittingly amongst a bunch of bad ones on Sony's part).
