My name is Kerry Schwartz, I am twenty three years old. I was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY.
Ever since I could remember, being an MTV VJ has been my ultimate dream job. I went to Kingsborough Community College and studied Broadcast/Journalism for two years. It was the first time in my whole life where I actually looked forward to going to school every day! When I was a teenager I did volunteer work with MTV, for example, I was in an episode of MTV beach house with Ashanti and I was an extra one year at the VMA's. I currently work for a company,who helps cast and find young adults for TV shows. My job requires going out in the tri-state area to find the right people and then going to their houses and filming them for audition tapes. My job also requires me to ask candidates questions as well as have them dance, sing, make up tag lines and be creative, while making them feel comfortable at the same time. I love my job and love meeting new people, but every day I cant help thinking how much I would rather be in front of the camera, instead of behind it. My friends, family, and co-workers always tell me I am in the wrong field and would be great at hosting a show. When I'm in front of the camera it feels natural, I stay calm, cool, collected, and my personality shines.
Im asking everyone for there support! I hope i have the opportunity to make it to the finals and prove how much this really means to me!
