About
I just turned thirty and am enjoying every minute of it. I am from California originally and have lived all over. I joined the Army in early 1997 and spent seven years touring the world with a couple short vacations in Bosnia and Iraq. I got out of the military in Oct 2003 and enjoy a more real life now. I met my wife during September 11th in NYC and have been annoying her ever since. I worked in Lower Manhattans financial district for a year before accepting a transfer to Houston TX, in 2005. Now in TX I am still trying to get used to the heat and slower pace of life.
I have been searching for the right opportunity and artist to develop and complete a large back piece for me and have been unsuccessful to date though if given this opportunity I will certainly have found the right fit.
My idea for a back piece is primarily tribal. I am very proud of my Italian heritage and would like to somehow incorporate that into the tattoo. I have always wanted a tattoo of an Aries symbol as I am an Aries through and through however, that symbol isn't really sexy or interesting at all and I don’t want a rams head on my back either. Most recently I have decided that the Aries symbol can appear in the void where there is no ink. Instead of the tattoo being based on that symbol it can be formed around it in a way that makes it almost not present or planned. My military service is important to me though I am not at all militant. I was a medic and got out of the Army, after seven years, kind of bitter but many of my experiences made me who I am today so perhaps that can be displayed somehow, though I certainly would not want it to overwhelm the design. I have recently purchased an awesome motorcycle that I am really enjoying and have recently become re-acquainted with my wild side. I am really into skulls, crosses, and flames but again would primarily prefer the images to be subtle. I also recently lost my very best friend Spike and would like his memory in the mix if at all possible. Spike was a one year old Pomeranian that was a little badass that died too young (the vet thought he had been poisoned intentionally).
I will certainly require the artist to assist in the development of the art and am completely OK with artist interpretation. In my mind now I see a rather large Black and Grey style back piece that has all of the artwork subtly intermixed inside the tribal lines. All of the artists on the show are exceptional and I would be fortunate to have any of them perform the work..
I currently have two Tattoo’s:
I have an Italian cross on my right deltoid that has a ribbon with “Costanza” written on it.
The other is a tribal band on my left arm – not too crazy about that one.
