My name is John Wilson, but for performance purposes I go by my stage name David Wesley. I have been singing publicly for a little over 22yrs. I started my journey at the age of three within my fathers church Bethlehem Baptist in the Charleston, SC area. By the time I was 12yrs old, I was actively directing both the Children's and the Young Adult choirs. Along with my duties at the church I was also apart of two separate community choirs (Williamsburg Ecumenical Community Mass Choral and Terris Gamble and the New Inspirational Mass Choir). By the age of sixteen I had accumulated more than enough groups and organizations to affiliate myself with to include the following; Marching Band/Choir, Drama Club, JROTC, Student Government, etc.

After graduating High School in June 2000 I decided to attend college in Charlotte, NC (Johnson C. Smith University). There I received a scholarship for the Marching Band known as the International Institution of Sound (IIOS) under the direction of
Dr. Duncan Gray. I march and played the trumpet/baritone for 2yrs as well I sang 1st Tenor with the world renowned Concert Choir under the direction of Dr. Bruce A. Thompson (Director of Choral Activities). My major was Sacred Music with a concentration in Vocal Performance.

After College I got together with old colleagues and I help start a band currently known as "The Company" (www.thecompanybandcharlotte.com). This band is well known as the "Human DJ Band" great for dancing because they don't stop from one song to the next! In January 2007 I co-wrote along with the band manager Hanock Hickman a song entitled "A Song for Music" on their debut album "Daybreak"!

I have performed on stage with various Gospel artist such as; Tamala and David Mann (From the Tyler Perry Hit Plays), Donald Lawerence, Patrick Love, John Pee Kee, Kathy Taylor Brown, Lejune and Cedric Thompson just to name a few. Currently I am working on a project of my own entitled "Anticipation" geared towards bringing back the true sounds of R&B and Soul music.

I am also connected with one of the leading Independent Labels in the Jersey City area Conglomerot Recordz (www.myspace.com/conglomerotrecordz). There I have embarked upon numerous Collaborations with different Hip Hop/R&B artist in the USA as well as France, Africa, and Germany.

I'm not entirely sure what the future may hold for my career in music, but I am working hard to be the best in the business.
