About
I am a free thinker, who likes to walk the path least traveled. A mechanical engineer who designs power tools for my day job and builds robots for fun at night. I look at the world through a different light than others as I am very analytical by nature. While I may be an engineer and have some very dorky tendencies I am still an outgoing fun individual. I have full aspirations to try and experience as much of this world as I can in the time I have on this planet, and I live every day to the fullest.
I have been building robots for almost 10 years now and have been involved in most of the major design competitions including Battlebots, the DARPA grand challenge, FIRST robotics, the IGVC, RFL, and others.
I enjoy designing and building, but also teaching others. I get no greater thrill then working with young people trying to inspire them to achieve in Math, Science and engineering and know that if they succeed then I have left a lasting impression on the world.
In addition to my design and building know how, I also am a host of a weekly robotics podcast called FIRSTcast and am a Play by play announcer for numerous robotic competition events.

thanks for the vote. good luck on our science channel game show casting. Let me know if they contact you. I'm curious if this site works. So what do you use for the computers in your robots? I use a microcontroller/mini-itx combination. I also use these really cool pwm h bridge chips. My house was my latest robot. I am planning a water robot for use by the university to measure the depth of water at the face of glaciers.
