About
On the morning of February 24th, 1979, Evan Thompson and Emily Altman were born to separate mothers 1,550 miles away from each other. Each one spent their formative years unaware of the existence of the other, as they honed the fine arts of hilarity, charm, and amazing-ness. The wondertwins' destinies would collide 25 years later, in the spring of 2004. Both living in New York City, the two were invited to join the internationally known improvisational comedy group "Darwin". While the troup shockingly did not take America by storm, out of its' smoldering ashes a beautiful BFF-dom was born. Thus began a lifetime of laughs and love as the two became known in downtown circles (and throughout the Western World) as America's Top Straight-Gay BFFs. They've lived, traveled and performed together, and plan on their future children being inseparable during long summer getaways to dance camp. Yet perhaps more than anything else, they've cracked each other up, consistently and constantly, for four and a half glorious years. The New York Times' A.O. Scott called their friendship "...bracing and invigorating", "An American original" and "A friendship that I am personally jealous of". Viva Emily and Evan!
