GotCast is the Internet's premier social network and castings website for talent. Members of the GotCast community create unique talent profiles and audition for Hollywood roles while entertainment industry executives (network executives, casting directors, agents, producers, etc) use the site to search for talent undiscovered stars. GotCast is where both working and aspiring talent go to find work!

• How do I create a Profile?

  Signing up is easy, just visit the signup page.

  There are three types of profiles - Fan, Talent, and Industry. All are free, although GotCast also offers a Pro Member account option that helps to enhance the GotCast experience and increase your visibility to Hollywood.

  Fan Account – A fan account allows you to vote for your favorite talent in current castings, plus update your photos, videos, and info.

  Talent Account - After you have created a Talent Account, you can submit to casting opportunities.

  Industry Account - Work in the industry but not talent? We offer industry tools to put together your next big project.

• Can I create a profile without entering a casting?

  Yes, you can create a Fan or Industry Account without entering a casting.

• How do I login to my account?
  You can login here. If you have not created an Account yet, you can create one here.
• How do I unsubscribe from notification emails?
  After you have logged into your Account, click the "Contact Preferences" link on the right hand side of the page and de-select any emails you do not want to receive.
• How do I upload images and videos?
  Once you log into your Account, click the "Browse" button under either "Upload Images" or "Upload Videos", select the file from your hard drive or URL, and upload from there.
• How do I change my password?
  After you have logged into your Account, click the "Change Password" link on the right hand side of the page.
• I lost my password, can you send it to me?
  Sure, just click the "Forgot Password" link on the login page. If you do not receive an email with your password, contact support@gotcast.com.

• What do I need to audition?
  • First create an account

  • To enter the finals in most castings, you will need to upload an audition video
• Do I have to upload a video?

• How do I get submitted?
  In all of our voting-based casting calls... encourage your friends, family and fans to vote! The process is simple - our top voted members are submitted at the top of the list to the casting directors and producers we work with. By getting more votes, you strengthen your chances of being seen. However, as a Pro Member you will always be submitted at the top of the list, regardless of votes.
• How do I get more votes?
  Promote yourself like crazy! Tell everyone you can (friends, family, fans) to help vote for you. We will provide you with tools to help you get the word out. People can vote for you once per day, every day, so be sure to keep your fans excited!
• Can only my friends vote for me?
  No. Any member of GotCast.com can vote for you.
• How Do I Get Booked?
  Once you become a Finalist, you will be reviewed by the Casting Judges and/or Casting Directors to determine your eligibility to get booked. From there, it is in your hands to kick butt in the audition process.

• What happens if I get selected?
  You will be eligible for any jobs and/or prizes for that particular casting. To view the job/prizes available, view the individual casting's details.
• What Hollywood project will I work on?
  That depends on the casting. They may feature a guaranteed role as well as an opportunity to audition for a part. Read the individual casting details for more information.
• Is there a chance I could be the top voted and not get cast for an actual show?

  It is possible. Votes do not always guarantee a role, but they do always increase your visibility. Other factors, such as your ability to make yourself available and/or any misrepresentations made in your GotCast profile are weighed as well. But d not worry – we are here to help any way we can to make you successful! 


• Who can vote?
  Anyone with a GotCast Account can vote.
• Can I vote for myself?
  Sure, but you will likely need a lot more votes than that to win!
• Do I lose votes if someone votes against me in feature castings?
  Not at all. We're all about positive energy here.
• Hey! My vote count went backward, what's up with that?
  From time to time we find invalid votes on the system and must remove them. Invalid votes can come from plenty of sources, but in most cases it's someone trying to game the system in some way.

• How do I contact other members?
  You may contact members through the FanMail service, which is a paid subscription service.Signup for FanMail here
• How much does that cost?

• What happens to my message after I send it?
  We will send two copies to the recipient. One will go into their FanMail inbox on this site. The other will go to their registered email address letting them know your message was sent.
• Can I view Member email addresses? Can someone get my email address?
  Nope. All member email addresses are protected on the system. A member may choose to provide their email address in the message itself, but we will never give out contact information.
• What if someone doesn't respond to my message?
  We can't guarantee that someone will respond to any message, only that we will make the recipient aware that you've sent it. Obviously just sending a message doesn’t guarantee that the recipient will want to read it.
• How do I cancel my FanMail subscription?
  Login to your Profile and click on "Cancel Subscription" under the "My Account" section on the right hand side of the page.

• I can't find my Profile when I search - what's up?
  All new profiles must be approved by our team manually before being available to the public. You may, however point people directly to your personal page. Your profile is there, it's just not available in the search until we approve it.
• How do I flag inappropriate content?
  You can email us support@gotcast.com and we'll take care of it directly.

• Why can't I post my personal contact information publicly?
  The best way for us to ward off scammers, spammers, and generally creepy people is to prevent them from directly contacting our members. The only way to contact a member individually is through our existing FanMail service, which can be monitored and shut off if abused.
• I've been approached by someone on your site to represent or work with me - can I trust them?
  The short answer is simple - contact us first. We can work with you to determine if we are familiar with this individual or company. Also, if a Member has any negative history with our Member base, we can notify you accordingly.
• I think someone from your office contacted me - how do I know it's you?
  Generally we will only contact you through a phone call. If you are unsure at all, please contact our main number here. Don't take any chances with any suspicious calls.

• Isn't this just a popularity contest?
  If by popularity you mean that the talent with the most appeal to our audience will win, then yes. But that's kind of how Hollywood works - the most engaging talent becomes the most sought after.
• • Can I get picked even if I'm not at the top of the member list?
  Yes. Casting Directors and Agents may see a face that is not voted as one of the top members but still fits what they are searching for. You may also be contacted by other industry professionals through our service while they're browsing our talent database.
• I'm a Talent Agent or Casting Director and I see someone I'd like to cast - now what?
  Please contact us directly We will be happy to help facilitate connections with established, well-known industry partners. You may also sign up and create an industry profile through our system and take advantage of our industry networking and project tools.
• How is this different than Casting Calls I see on the Internet?
  Viewing a casting call only tells you who's hiring. It doesn't get you any closer to the actual job. The problem isn't finding a casting call; it's actually getting cast for a part. We’re here to get you in front of the people that make those decisions.
