All parties assume the ability to make reasonable scheduling arrangements, including the person ultimately selected for this opportunity to be available to be onsite at the Streamy Awards and participate in related preparation leading up to the event. You must be 18 or over to participate and live in the U.S. Travel, food or any expenses related to coming to LA to cover the show are not included.
Are you an aspiring entertainment journalist or Web series creator? Want a chance to mix with Hollywood’s digital entertainment industry leaders? The Streamy Awards, an annual awards ceremony that honors programming excellence in online entertainment, is partnering with GotCast to offer an exciting opportunity for one lucky winner to cover the Pre-Ceremony Red Carpet Event at the 2010 Streamy Awards taking place on April 11, 2010 at the Music Box @ Fonda Theater in Hollywood. The winner will work with our professional Red Carpet journalists to interview Web series stars about their shows, the digital entertainment industry and more!
The ideal candidate should be tech and entertainment-savvy, high energy and have a solid knowledge and passion for pop/Geek culture, Web series celebrities and online entertainment trends. Candidates should be witty, have excellent improv skills, a positive disposition, and story angle ideas based on their knowledge of particular celebrities, namely the recently announced 2010 Streamy Award Nominees.

Here’s what you need to submit to be considered for this opportunity:
1) FAUX RED CARPET INTERVIEW (1-2 minutes): Have a friend contending for a Streamy or someone who really wants to win one someday? We hope so! Imagine her on that star-studded red carpet waiting to accept the award. What would you ask? Videotape your interview and show us your wining personality and the ability to ask great questions on the spot while having a great time!
2) PERSONAL VIDEO (20-45 seconds): Sell us your on-air talent with a second video of any style or format. Remember, the objective is to sell yourself as the personality best-suited to join the professional Red Carpet show journalists. The level of creativity of this entry is important.
3) STREAMY AWARDS PROMO (1 minute or less): Promote your on-air/online career by helping to promote the Streamy Awards. Use this opportunity to persuade your audience to watch the live online broadcast of the Streamy Awards Ceremony on April 11th at Streamys.org. The best Streamys promos will be used by the Streamy Awards to promote the show during a month-long lead-up and will include attribution to a Web site link of your choice, so you get credit for your great work! So think about creating something that Web series fans would want to see and share.
Streamy Awards Producers will select host from the Top50 most-voted members to book the job.

Booking assumes that you can make your own accommodations to attend live auditions and the Streamy Awards in Los Angeles.
The Streamy Awards recognize excellence in global web television programming for broadband distribution across 35 creative categories, from acting and directing, to editing and special effects. Members of the International Academy of Web Television review shows submitted through a free, public submissions process and vote on the final nominees and winners for each category.
