If Your Pictures Are Blurry...
Members are always shooting me over messages about what to do if their photos are coming up blurry. For the most part, resolution ends up being the issue.
So, if your headshots aren't coming up as clear as you'd like them, take these steps to clean them up.
1) Start with the original full size copies of any photos that you have. The larger and clearer the starting file, the better quality photos you'll end up with.
2) Set your photo resolution to 72dpi. This is so when uploading your photos, they don't become compressed and blurry. Most print images are set to around 300dpi, so when they upload to our system, they shrink down to about 25% of the original photo.
I personally use photoshop to do this (
image menu >
image size option >
resolution). Trail software is available on the Adobe website (
http://www.adobe.com/downloads/)
3) Crop your images. If you have extra long or wide images, it's possible to crop yourself right out of a photo. There are a few easy to use websites that let you upload and edit files for free. Google has one of my favorite programs (
http://picasa.google.com/).

4) Finally, if nothing seems to work... you can send us an email to support@gotcast.com, and we can tweak the photos for you and try to upload them from our office.
Thanks!
