GotCast.com Launches – Begins On-line Casting for Television Shows

New Web Site hosts on-line auditions for television shows where viewers vote for who will be the next star in Hollywood!

LOS ANGELES, CA - October 24, 2007: GotCast.com (http://www.GotCast.com) the Internet’s premier talent casting Web site has begun its first open casting call on-line. GotCast.com allows talent from around the world to audition for television shows and on-camera roles right from their computer for an opportunity to be cast in a Hollywood production.

“Think of it like YouTube meets American Idol” explains GotCast Founder Wil Schroter. “We’ve taken the search for great talent beyond Hollywood and across the world. Now anyone that has access to a video camera and a computer can have a shot at stardom in Hollywood! We are putting new talent in front of the same Casting Directors that are casting shows like The Bachelor, Extreme Makeover Home Edition, and The Soup.”

GotCast works by allowing aspiring talent to create a profile of themselves on its Web site, including their head shots and audition videos. Once they join, they must gather the most votes for their profile before the casting period ends. They can rock the vote by inviting their friends to vote every day, thus increasing their chances of making it into the top 10 finalists by the end of the casting period.

When the casting period is over, the top 10 most-voted candidates will be reviewed by a panel of industry-leading judges who will pick their favorite talent to be cast for the role. The winner will get their shot at an on-camera role as well as other prizes that may be offered, from private coaching to agent representation.

The first casting is already underway for a TV Host at YoungHollywood.com. YoungHollywood is well-known for covering star-studded events like the MTV VMAs and has been featured on popular television shows like Entertainment Tonight. The contest is sponsored by True Religion Jeans and includes private one-on-one training with celebrity hosting coach Marki Costello.

“GotCast.com has tapped into an entirely new world of talent” said Marki Costello, CEO of Creative Management Entertainment Group and one of Hollywood’s most sought-after TV hosting coaches. “There are tons of talented individuals that go completely un-discovered simply because they don’t have a way to be discovered by Hollywood.”

GotCast.com aims to build the largest Web site for casting on-camera roles. The company has already begun casting a featured host for its next role on Get Out, the popular travel show available on HDNet. Dozens of additional casting opportunities will soon be available at http://www.gotcast.com.
