About

I'm 26 years old and have spent most of my life living in Washington. I've been an avid backpacker for several years now and have taken on mountaineering over the past 3 years. Since my first attempt to climb Mt. Baker 3 years ago, I've successfully reached the summit of Mt. Adams, Glacier Peak, Mt. Hood, Mt. Rainier, Mt. St. Helens and Mt. Baker. I plan to spend the rest of this year and next year preparing myself for a Denali attempt via the West Buttress route. I've also covered over 200 miles of the Washington section of the PCT (with plans to complete more later this summer). An opportunity to participate in the Alaskan Adventurer would be a perfect way to get closer to my goal of climbing Denali.

Besides backpacking and climbing (and working), I spend a lot of time running to stay in shape, snowboarding during the winter and reading when I have some spare time to enjoy. I just finished reading 'Forever on the Mountain' about the 1967 Wilcox Denali Expedition tragedy.
