About
Thank you for this incredible opportunity to introduce myself. I am an incurable "Automobile Nut" with a passion for custom cars of every size, shape and style regardless of age. I grew up during an Auto Revolution and helped many live their dreams. I knew at an early age that my life would be dedicated to the Automobile Profession as I assisted my older brothers with their automotive endeavors.

I have since served the Automotive Industry in many unusual capacities considered by most to be once in a life time "Dream Jobs". At age of 13 I assisted in the restoration of a Model A Ford and purchased my own classic at age 15. I lived in a town that has the famous Berlin Turnpike going through it. Life was good.

My professional career started at a small town service station where we built a very fast Drag Car and customized a Chevy Nomad. I later moved on to manage a full service Auto Repair Facility. I also drove cross country to Los Angeles and toured the coast.

I returned to the East Coast and acquired a life time of achievements by age 20. After the birth of my son Brian I decided to get serious with my career. I joined a New Car Dealership receiving Factory Training in the latest technology and became a Class "A" ASE Certified Master Technician.

This led to a career in which I provided Vehicle evaluations and Road Tests of virtually every make and model of automobile. I later became a contracted Automobile Technical Expert for a State Consumer Protection Agency.

My next step was to serve as an Automotive Technology Instructor. This was very rewarding since it allowed me to share my life experiences and reveal the many rarely herd of opportunities in the Automobile Business. We modified vehicles and participated in various racing events.

As my son grew he began helping me and a mentoring student build custom cars and restore classic vehicles. I took an Insurance Claims Adjuster job for the regular hours to have more hobby time and I rented a small shop.

My son developed a passion for modifying high performance vehicles and became a partner in a Tuner Shop with a state of the art custom designed Dyno. He attended training in Los Angeles and sponsored Drag events in New York. His crew also raced in New Jersey and Ohio.

I settled in with the leader in Automotive Inspection and Verification Services as a Repair Facility Auditor and Vehicle Evaluator.

I spent years covering 8 states in the North East Region with occasional Florida assignments before transferring to North Carolina. I also opened sites in Missouri and Mississippi.

Last October I was laid off in a workforce reduction caused mostly by the financial problems of the US Auto Industry. I recently completed an Entrepreneur Business Start-up Course and plan to offer my Automotive Expertise to help revitalize the Automotive Aftermarket Industry, assist Independent Contractors and promote Consumer Related Services.

I request your vote since I believe that I was born for this role. I combine Yankee Ingenuity, Southern Comfort and Mid West Values with a West Coast Flare. I honestly feel that you will have a good feeling if you see me on the show and know that you helped make it possible.

Thank you,

Joe "The Equalizer"
