About
Hey I am Liz! I originally came to this site to support my fellow gamers in all the G4 contests, which I myself did not participate in. But I got an e-mail for the casting of "America's Greatest Dog." and I honestly believe I have the greatest dog there is.
I rescued Conner from the pound when he was a little over a year old. I was looking for a new dog and not really seeing any that I was really interested in. Then as I was about to leave these 2 guys came in ready to get rid of their yellow lab mix.
They went and put him in a pen out back and I went to see and visit with him. He was so scared and hiding in the corner, it turns out the former room-mates who owned him abused him.
I spent time with him, and he was the mellowest, smartest and nicest dog I have ever met. Most abused dogs get aggressive and mean, but he was, and is never at all. I knew I had to have him. I signed the papers and brought him home with me.
For a long time he was very scared and was uncomfortable. You couldn't put your feet near him or he would yelp. (We assumed they would kick him.) But today, he is a happy, normal dog. Well... he is still kind of a scaredy-cat sometimes.(Don't tell him that, he hates cats!)
His favorite activities are playing fetch, putting slimy tennis balls in your lap, eating his favorite peanut butter treats, swimming, and just being my friend.
I love him so much, and so does everyone else who meets him, so give him a chance!
