Since birth, I've been a standout. From my name which is Ethiopian, German and Ghanaian, to my background, Makeda has always been irreplaceable and unforgettable.

I was born in Ghana but raised in Northern Virginia. After graduating with a Bachelor's of Science in Mass Communications: Public Relations and Business, I worked in PR for non-profits including the Corporation for Public Broadcasting. Everyone of my co-workers kept asking me why I was not in fashion. I breath, dream, live, and thrive on fashion.

I started a fashion blog called The Glamazon Diaries, which I write on religiously. I am 20-something girl wishing I could have a Freaky Friday experience and switch bodies with Anna Wintour. My dream is to be Editor-in-Chief of Vogue so I make sure that every decision I make keeps me on the route to the big dream.

I belong to the Church of Fashionology where Marc Jacobs, Yves Saint Lauren, Coco Chanel, Christian Dior, Alexander McQueen, Barbara Bui, Christian Louboutin and Manolo Blahnik are my patron saints. Of course I believe in God, because without him, nothing would be possible.

I am inspired by music, art, sports, fashion and life experience which I use to guide my writing and style. Being on this show will really help me focus my dream and goals of working in the magazine industry. I am willing to give up my cushy job to be an intern for the chance to fulfill my lifelong dream because nothing worth doing is ever easy.
