About

After an overstayed sabbatical from acting, the year 2008 has proven fruitful for Omar. He has delighted audiences across the board in film, television, and theatre. The beginning of this acting year found Omar in Lagos, Nigeria where he was one of 18 contestants out of 100,000+ world wide applications for the pilot of The Apprentice Africa.

Although Omar did not win, he came home with a rich experience in reality television and gained much international exposure for his sharp, witty commentaries during the show. Following The Apprentice, Omar found his way on stage at the Lincoln Theatre in Washington, D.C., playing the role of Deacon Kane in A Change Is Gonna Come. There is no doubt that Omar’s childhood dreams of acting have resurfaced in adulthood with a vengeance.

As a professional child actor, Omar Bah has worked on the sets of several projects, including Father and Son -a PBS Production in which he played a street bully, and a number of commercials including D.C. Keno Lottery. In addition, Omar performed in over a dozen stage plays, including Elephant Man, Noises Off, and Master Harold and the Boys.

Omar is a former student of the Interlochen Performing School of Arts in Interlochen, Michigan. Since then, he has received a variety of acting training in Improv, stage combat, monologue readings, voice-over, and on-camera classes. Omar has a total of 15 years of acting experience and has extensive knowledge of television production through his experiences working on The Price Is Right, Politically Incorrect with Bill Maher, Dennis Miller Live, The Bold and the Beautiful, and the Young and the Restless.

Some other information about Omar: Originally he hails from the West African country of Guinea. He speaks fluent French and has traveled extensively. Omar is pretty good at boxing, lacrosse, wrestling, and a few other sports. Mr. Bah’s past casting ranges from the nerdy geeky type, school yard bully, executive corporate officer or comic side kick to a cultured gentleman.
