Hi! I'm Cindy Starr (yes it's on my Driver's License). Vote for me once and I'll vote for you 100 times!!!

Amazingly, I grew up very shy and could barely talk to anyone. It didn't help being the preacher's daughter where you have to balance being good and being bad enough to keep from being forever labeled "goody-goody". Then one day I realized I was missing out on so much in life, that I started talking, making more friends and trying out for plays and I've never stopped trying to make up the time!

Even though I received a bachelor's degree in Psychology, I've always wanted to be in front of the camera or an audience. I have a very outgoing, friendly personality and am ALWAYS up for an adventure. I can't think of too many things I WON'T do (up for alligator wrestling anyone?)I swam with dolphins, fished for sharks and have been sky-diving so far.

I moved to California 5 years ago when I didn't know a single soul after a nasty divorce. Got a headshot and tried to break through the barrier with not much experience and a later start (in my 30's not 20's). There are plenty of successful older actresses in the business, I think it's down to talent, looks and unfortunately primarily - who you know! I've done plays and background extra work but before I knew it, I had to come back for family reasons.

I do financial work for businesses, and in addition to acting, I love to write. I'm a published poet and I write novels also. I'm currently writing a DVD review for a regional magazine, which I hope could be a stepping stone to the first female 'Ebert and Siskel' show.

I would be very exciting to watch on Big Brother or other shows because I'm a sweetheart who won't take any crap I don't deserve (there's a reason my middle name is 'shark'. And if you want to throw me in a vat of mud/screaming debate or starve me for a challenge - GO AHEAD!!! :)

4/7/2009 at 3:56 PM		Hi! Cindy, I can feel how much you want this. On the other hand I think its funny to be in a fishbowl. I am happy now! You should expand your chances. They have a live casting on the ninth in Ill. Check the casting!! I went to a live casting in New York. They eat me alive, but I needed to feel the real deal. I am such a likeable, loveable person and this business is a sharkfest. But seeing the real thing was my freedom. We tend to over think things and I was building myself up to be superman, but all they want are simple people with great characters that follow the guidelines of the show. In New york I was so impressed with the city. I just stayed around for the fun of it, but it freed me. God knows I bounce better then I act, so just being there was my blessing. I am so free it isn't funny. The truth will set you free.
