About
My name is Beau but most people call me Glitch. I am 24 years old. I work for Electronic Arts in Orlando, FL (EA Games). I am also on the Board of Gamers for the city of Orlando and I manage the Team Gigabits professional gaming organization. I am a professional gamer, and yes I do get paid to play video games, lol!

Competitive gaming is my life! There aren't too many games that I haven't played, or too many video cards I haven't reviewed. Whether I'm testing Burn Out Paradise City before it goes public or playing Counter-Strike, I am a geek at heart.

The team that we have created is my real passion. Team Gigabits is a fully sponsored Florida based LAN team, and a very unique gaming organization that is looking to change the face of competitive gaming in a way that has never been attempted before. While competitive gamers tend to be a bit on the egotistical side, bearing a no holds barred mentality in relation to winning, our team represents the utmost of professionalism and dedication not only in the competitive arena but in the community alike. We are currently in the process of becoming a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. This entitlement will open the doors to many new and exciting elements and present us with opportunities that other teams could only dream of.

Team Gigabits is a team that not only believes in promoting the gaming industry and creating public awareness, but we are also a team that believes in giving back to our community every chance we get. One program that is being developed is designed to present free Nintendo Wii consoles to a few local retirement homes from Team Gigabits and their sponsors. This program is called the, "Wii for Retirees Program." The object is to give those who have lost the ability to enjoy the finer points of retirement living such as tennis, golf or even bowling due to a disability or other, the opportunity to participate in those sporting events that they cherish so dearly through the Nintendo Wii console. In addition to presenting these select assisted living facilities with these incredible machines, Team Gigabits professional gaming organization players will also provide one-on-one instruction with the patrons on the systems operation and gaming strategies.

In light of the American Medical Association and Congress's attempts to classify gaming as an addiction, and events like Columbine and Virginia Tech., we aim to show society the positive aspects of video gaming. Society as a whole has, for the last ten years, been somewhat antiquated and misinformed in relation to their views on the video gaming world. In addition to the, "Wii for Retirees Program," we are also working with the Boys and Girls Club of America and One Laptop Per Child to highlight the positive elements of video gaming. Through our relationship with the Boys and Girls Club of America, we can use games like Dance Dance Revolution to show that there are healthy and positive ways to enjoy a video game. Consoles like the Nintendo Wii are also a fantastic way to exert energy and shed some calories while still having fun with a joystick. We can also use games like Dimension M, a First-Person-Shooter game that also helps to teach mathematics, to reinforce the importance of learning.

These community involvement programs that are the backbone of our initiative, are what separates our organization from the many teams that aspire merely to be great in the game. Not only can we bring the competitive element right to their front door because of our dedication and establish ourselves as role-models by exhibiting the utmost of professionalism in the process, but we are also tied to the community in an effort to accelerate e-sports as a professional sporting arena while informing the public as to the underlying benefits of video gaming.

With all of that being said, if you are looking for someone to bring a firm understanding of technology and a passion for gaming, then I'm your geek! Oh, and in case you didn't already know, G4, the video gaming network, now has a higher concentration of males age 18-34 than MTV, Spike, FX, and ESPN2, and has sustained 21 consecutive months of year-to-year household ratings growth according to the latest Neilson ratings. How cool would it be to work for these guys right?
