About
I am a lead investigator and case manager for the Greater Pittsburgh Paranormal Society-A proud TAPS Family member. We are known as GPPS.
I love what I do and wouldn't change much about my life right now. Sure we all have struggles but I truly believe that everything happens for a reason. It's the same with the people who come into your life...they are meant to be a part of it if even for a fleeting moment.
As for my involvement in the paranormal, well it's something that I've been interested in since I was a child. I would read any book on the subject I could get my hands on...which I still do! So I feel truly blessed to be able to work with such a fantastic group of people! My team is my second family and even though we may all come from different backgrounds and belief systems, we are united in our quest for answers. I'll still be asking questions and searching for answers as long as there are mysteries! I can be relentless in my pursuit of the unknown, but that's just who I am. I spend about 30 hrs a week speaking to clients, setting up cases and reviewing evidence. No, I do not get paid so I better be passionate about what I do! *lol
There are people who genuinely need help and that's a big reason why I do this. When a family contacts me and they have children who are scared to be in their own home, we do our best to give them peace of mind. We do that by helping them understand what they are experiencing and by trying to find natural causes for any alleged paranormal activity. Or we help them if we do find paranormal activity by proving that they are not imagining things or losing their sanity and most importantly, educating them about the paranormal. When you understand something, it's no longer as frightening as when it was unknown.
We at GPPS do not use psychics or mediums in our investigations. We DO have sensitives on our team, however we use our gifts more as a "tool". Pointing out an area to photograph, for example, without giving any info. Our investigators work well together so we trust each other in that aspect. We try to find proof of the paranormal by using equipment such as EMF detectors, ion counters, digital voice recorders, video equipment, and thermometers to verify cold spots. We also use carbon monoxide detectors when we suspect that to be a problem.
I'm not content to blindly believe in something without hard evidence, nor am I willing to just believe someone else's experiences. I need to experience it for myself. You might consider me an "open minded skeptic". Anything is possible, just give me some proof!
Thanks to everyone who votes for me! I return every single vote! Even if I don't leave a comment you'll see that I voted!
Best of luck to you all! Never give up on your dreams and remember, when you do good, good comes back to you, so stay positive!
