Areas Of Expertise
Singing:
I began singing in various chiors and ensembles at age 6 in the Greater Refuge Temple Church. Since then I've been in the vocal ensemble in every school I've attended, most recently the renowned Brooklyn Technical HS Chamber Chorus.
I began recording original music in 2006, and did my first indie gig July 2007 @ Bar Sputnik in NYC <3
I'm trained in classical music, and have been immersed in motown, soul, neo-soul, RnB, rock, alternative, roots music, reggae, ska, punk rock, gospel, jazz, house, electronica & every other type of music since I can remember.
Modeling:
Did some print & spokesodeling for indie clothing lines in 94/95. Graduated Barbizon modeling school in 2003. Began actively building port and pursuing professional level work in 2006. Experienced in runway, shoots, wardrobe styling, and natural hair & make-up. Interested in print & commercial opportunity. My everyday style is a funky, edgy, afrocentric, boho chic take on urban and commercial looks. I don't follow trends, I set them. But I am aware of the ones I don't create, and some are pretty awesome, so from time to time they're incorporated into my wardrobe =]
Dance- Step- Choreography:
Participated in Dance Africa at Brooklyn Academy of Music at age 3. Hip hop & step advisor/ activity specialist/ model coordinator and teacher in NYC public schools for 5 years and running. I love children and I love the performing arts. BEAUTIFUL COMBINATION !!!!!!
